For the Alpha offer, there is no other option. If that us a good
thing for other platforms such as x86-64, I do not know.
For my current Alpha customer, the reseller took the full three
year support cost and then charge the end customer quarterly,
with a few % add-on. With the current interest rates it was
better than "money in the bank", according to the reseller.
So the income that VSI sees and the costs that the end-customer
sees do not have to match 1 to 1.
