>From the perspective of the mail system, the message was delivered.  Only AFTER delivery, was the message routed to an incorrect "folder".  Since many Email systems allow for automatic re-routing to specific folders based upon certain criteria, I know of no way that any Email can be truly "verified" to be delivered to the targeted person other than to the Email system.  Think of this as an electronic equivalent of the US Mail system.  A delivery can only be guaranteed to a mailbox and not to the person when there are multiple people at the same address.  This can only be altered if you use a return receipt or registered letter where again there is no guarantee since others can sign for the letter.
