I sincerely doubt that Len and Sandy would have considered an offer from
Digital, given the original business plan of Cisco Systems, which was to build
Len's TOAD (which stands for "Ten On A Desk").  Digital had already canceled the
36-bit line by then.

Cisco was not internally a networking company until 1990, when the BoD decided
that the original business plan was not where they wanted to put their money.
Len and Sandy departed quickly.
