I only once had a deaf girl as a guest at my clubs. She was quick in the uptake what her opposites were doing, with some help. E.g. for a square thru 4, somebody should show her 4 fingers. She was the daughter of a caller, and therefore had a solid foundation in theory. In other words, she knew what she was doing; what is more than I can say of some people who can hear but do not listen.
