Interesting perspective.
Of course, I cannot agree with it.
If feudalism from the middle ages taught us anything (and apparently it
did not, judging from modern society and its tendency to revert back to
that hopelessly broken system), it taught us that partnering with labor
is infinitely more profitable than facing labor on a self-made
battlefield of greed.
It's easy, I suppose, for wealth to cloud one's vision and see the
people who make your product as little more than a necessary evil or
expense.
I guess such attitudes are the reason why corporate America wants to pay
people pennies while charging them fortunes for everything from the
necessities to even the most "simple-pleasure" luxuries like
automobiles, televisions, programming to watch on the television, access
to the internet, shelter, clothing, groceries, ...
Hard for consumers to feed the economy when their "take home pay" won't
take them home!
